Slideshows are a good solution for capturing the audience when showing your pictures. Although they are easy to make, some people may not have the necessary software or applications to run such a presentation and you will not be able to show off your work. If you create a slideshow in a popular video format, you will be able to run it on almost any computer, because there are more chances to find one with the right codecs than with MS Power Point. A very handy tool for this job is Photo MovieTheater. You can use it to create a slideshow in an easy and flexible fashion and it will export it using various video formats.

The setup file is a bit large (28.5 Mb), so it will take longer to download if your Internet connection is not fast enough. The setup process, however, will be much faster. You can install Photo MovieTheater like any other software and there is no need to install additional tools or codecs if you want to use its full potential.

A video presentation can be created in four steps and you can go through them in any order by clicking the navigation tabs on the interface's top edge. Images or video clips can be loaded under the Import tab. The top half of the interface is where you may browse through your files and folders. Once you find your images or videos, they can be imported by dragging and dropping them on the lower half of the interface, where they will be displayed in a timeline.

Adding different effects or soundtracks can also be done by clicking and dragging them from one side of the interface to another. Transition effects, from basic to advanced, can be previewed with the software's built in player, under the Transition. Adding them only requires clicking and dragging one over an image in the timeline.

Under the third tab, you can add soundtracks, text, pre set illustrations and effects and you can even import sound by recording it. Adding one of these can also be done by dragging and dropping. The timeline, under this tab, is displayed like in a video editing software. Effects and other items can be added on separate channels, you can choose their exact positions, and you can preview your work.

Finally, the presentation can be exported in various formats, including WMV, AVI, MP4, DVD or for certain devices, such as iPads, iPhones, PSPs and more. Before exporting, you can make a series of adjustments regarding resolution, frame rate, bit rate and more.
